MASTER PACKER

Have you got what it takes to be the MASTER PACKER? Prove your packing-skills in this small puzzle game made for the Quarantine Jam. Start out with a few handpicked levels to learn the trade and crunch away on an endless number of different, challenging packing-task.

Modes

Puzzle mode: Take your time and use all available times to fully pack the given space. You can only access one level at a time and need to solve it before stepping up. Errors can be "undone" and you can pack as slow as you like.

Time mode: Race the clock! 30 seconds for every packing task. But beware: there is a score! Try to fit as many tiles as you can, again, again and again, to keep your score high.

How to play

Drag tiles from the right on to the given grid. Every sub-tile needs to be place-able, so no overlapping tiles or tiles sticking out of the grid. You can always re-arrange them and drop them back outside the grid. You can always mute all sounds inside the game. When starting out, try at least a few levels of puzzle mode before you step into time mode.

This was quite the relaxing and enjoyable experience. Been playing a lot of the game jam games lately, so this elegant, calming and simple game was a terrific little treat.

The fact you managed to make two well polished modes in a game jam is quite commendable as well!

I'm not sure if there's not much add here except maybe more levels and fun unlockables, like skins, filters, extra music and maybe some competitive multiplayer if possible. (see who finishes faster, better scores etc.)

I think you should add a feature where I can right click pieces to them off if I make a mistake or a reset button. I know you can drag them off and put them back, but the feature to do that faster would be appreciated.

Overall a great job! Hope to see you in more game jams!

Thanks for your comment, it really (!) means a lot. Especially since this was my first jam & my first game. I've compiled a list of feedback - maybe I've got time to revisit in the future and improve it a bit.

In the mean time: If you've got some time and are willing to check out another one, here is my second submission: Every degree matters (for Sim Jam, theme: A Matter of Degrees). It's not as polished and complete as I would like it to be, but (I think) it turned out with a quite interesting take on the theme :)
